PALLET DISPLAYS

MAXIMUM IMPACT!

Pallet displays give brands the space to present larger volumes of stock with strong visibility in busy retail environments. At Print & Display, each unit is developed around the product, campaign, required footprint and practical route into store.

A project might use a single full pallet footprint of 1200 × 1000 mm, a double-pallet display or a larger arrangement. Those are examples rather than fixed limits: the final dimensions and structure are determined by the client brief and retail requirements.

One format, many possible routes

Displays can be supplied flat-packed when the project requires efficient transport and assembly later in the delivery route.

Units can be supplied already assembled when that is the most practical option for handling, delivery and installation.

P&D can co-pack a display with its products before delivery, helping the completed unit arrive ready for the next stage of its retail journey.

Engineered around the stock

A pallet display must do more than look impressive. P&D develops the structure around the dimensions and weight of the products, the way that weight is distributed, the expected transit loads and the way shoppers or retail teams will access the stock.

Uneven loads can be allowed for during structural development. The display, its internal supports and its product arrangement are considered together rather than treating the visible graphics as a separate exercise.

Clients should supply the required footprint, height restriction and any retailer-specific pallet or store guidelines. Where helpful, P&D can check the brief against retailer guidelines already known to the team and highlight points that may need clarification.

Materials selected for the job

EB flute card is the predominant display material, giving P&D a strong printable surface and the structural flexibility required for many retail campaigns. Pallet displays are predominantly based on timber pallets.

The exact material mix can vary with the promoted product, display design, load, handling requirements and retail environment. Additional materials or components may therefore be included where the brief requires them.

End-of-life instructions should always reflect the final construction. Card and any non-card components should enter their appropriate recycling or recovery streams, with different materials separated where necessary.

From production to multiple retail locations

P&D can support more than the printed display itself. The available service can include co-packing, delivery to multiple locations and installation, with the route planned around the project rather than restricted to one standard supply method.

This gives clients the option to bring structural design, print, packing, distribution and installation together within one coordinated brief.

What P&D needs for a pallet-display brief

To begin developing the right solution, it is useful to provide:

  • the product dimensions, individual weights and intended quantities;
  • the required number of products or facings;
  • information about weight distribution or unusually heavy areas;
  • the required pallet dimensions, footprint and maximum display height;
  • retailer, store or distribution-centre guidelines;
  • whether the unit should be flat-packed, assembled or pre-stocked;
  • transit, replenishment and shopper-access requirements;
  • delivery locations and whether installation is required;
  • campaign artwork or brand guidelines; and
  • the required in-store date and project quantity.

P&D can then develop the structure, materials, graphics and supply route around the stock and campaign.

Pallet display questions

What size can a pallet display be?

A single full pallet display may use a 1200 × 1000 mm footprint, but displays can also cover a double pallet or a larger area. P&D develops the dimensions around the client brief, available retail space and applicable retailer guidelines.

What type of pallet is normally used?

Pallet displays are predominantly based on timber pallets. The final dimensions and format are brief-dependent, so P&D can develop the display around the pallet or footprint required for the project.

Can pallet displays be supplied flat-packed, assembled or pre-stocked?

Yes. P&D can offer all three routes. The best approach depends on the display design, product, packing operation, transport plan and what needs to happen at the final location.

What materials are pallet displays made from?

EB flute card is the predominant display material, but the final construction can include other materials or components where the product, load, design or retail environment requires them.

Are pallet displays recyclable?

End-of-life guidance depends on the final material specification. Card and other components should enter the correct recycling or recovery streams, and non-card components should be separated where necessary. P&D can explain the relevant material breakdown for the completed design.

Can P&D co-pack, deliver and install pallet displays?

Yes. P&D can provide co-packing, delivery to multiple locations and installation. These services can be planned as part of the same brief as the display’s structural design, print and production.
